Are you seeing that you've got a DM ("Direct Message") on Twitter, yet when you check it there's nothing there? Or when you go to re-read one of your DM's it's no longer there? Well there's one reason as to why this will happen that not many know about.
The Sender Deleted The Message Their End
Twitter works much different to how other websites internal messaging systems work. Normally if you delete the messages in your inbox, then they just go from your side. However with Twitter, the DM also removes it from the other... [read more]
About 25 minutes ago Twitter decided to not work (and still isn't at the time of posting this) - this is more than likely because they're fully applying that update I moaned about earlier throughout the site. Not sure why they need to take this much time as they've surely got test servers to put it on before making it live - luckily for me though, I was able to still use Twitter during these problems because I've obviously made myself a few Twitter-based web apps that process the stuff via Twitter's API (which was thankfully, untouched).

Twitter has decided to change the way tweets are shown on your feed and even though it's only been about an hour since I've started seeing this change, they're already frustrating and annoying me.

They styled the text of the replies to be about a pixel smaller than the normal font so there's not really much difference in the sizing -... [read more]
Well my goodness, that didn't take long. I was thinking it'd be tomorrow that the next account would be compromised, however it's recently happened again... this time BET (Black Entertainment Television) has been compromised and had their profile picture changed to the MTV logo.
And also MTV's official Twitter account has also been compromised too, with their name being changed to "HACKED MTV!".
This is crazy... three blue badged accounts so far this evening... stay tuned for more.
From Burgers to Cars now... worldwide known company Jeep have has their official Twitter account compromised now in a similar fashion to yesterdays Burger King / McDonald's incident.
According to Jeep's profile, they have been sold to Cadillac, similar to how Burger King was sold to McDonalds yesterday. Jeep's profile bio comes with the two hashtags #OpMadCow (Operation Mad Cow) and #OpWhopper (Operation Whopper - which I'm gathering was the codename for yesterdays attack).
Not too sure if tomorrow will also bring yet another company's Twitter to the hands of hackers.
Stay safe. :)
