Over the last week or so I've started to notice a lot of Tweets appearing on my main Twitter timeline advertising a link that supposedly shows you or lets you know who has visited your profile. Sounds too good to be true?
Well as I've been a Twitter developer for nigh on a decade, I can confirm that yes it is too good to be true. It's a massive, and potentially dangerous, scam. There is no(!) way to find out who has visited your profile at all.
And if you've 'authorised' this 'app' (their website address... [read more]
Over the past couple of days Twitter rolled out its most recent update, which is the ability to send a DM to anyone - even if you don't already follow them. And you would expect with *any* type of change, people moan... and I'm quite dumbfounded as to why people are moaning about it?
By default, the option (as you can see below) is unticked/unchecked.

Are you constantly getting messages from your followers on Twitter saying that you're sending them these fake messages, that're usually like "you ar famous now haha *facebook link*" or "Someone's talking about you *facebook link*"? Well a lot of people think these are caused by a virus on your computer. Well to be honest, I highly doubt they're spawned from viruses.
To stop any spam direct messages being sent from your account to your followers on Twitter, please check your "Apps" section in your "Settings" area, as it would 99.9% of the time be YOUR... [read more]
Why don't spam bots and the people that spawn them understand... this blog based site I've created has a filter system on it that I made... so why waste time spamming me with links to enlarge my penis or to get cheap viagra or (the worst) see slutty Paris Hilton naked... jesus.. we've all seen it! Goodness me.
Go spam somewhere else... as I'm starting to get annoyed with a couple of hundred spam posts a day... though it does keep me busy. I do actually find it quite funny that underneath the links in the posts they always have a... [read more]
