Pectus Excavatum: Pre-Op Assessment

Talk about an early trip... the roads were foggy as hell when we left at 8.40am to head to Birmingham Heartlands Hospital for my appointment - which thankfully it's just a straight road from Atherstone all the way there, so we got there in time. After walking about a mile to the Pre-Op assessment area (seriously, the hospital is huge!) I was immediately seen for a MRSA test (which just requires them to swab both your nostrils), then I was immediately sent for an XRay, which I did get lost - even with the help of a map (below), I... Pectus Excavatum: Bar Removal

Well it's been 2 years, 4 months and 22 days - or 875 days or 125 weeks or 21,000 hours or 1,260,000 minutes or 75,600,000 seconds, however you want to put it, since I had the Nuss Procedure to have my chest corrected because of a birth deformality I had called Pectus Excavatum (where the chest wall goes inwards - NOT to be confused with Pectus Carinatum which is where the chest comes out and IS the one called Pigeon Chest). Paralympic Stream Banned In UK

Ok, could someone at the IPC be able to explain why when I visit the Paralympic website, then click onto their YouTube link - which shows that they're currently streaming live the opening ceremony - is telling me "The uploader has not made this video available in your country. Sorry about that."??

I am in the United Kingdom... you are in the United Kingdom. So why on earth is the footage banned from me to watch? Ain't really happy about this.

Haiti Earthquake Charity Single

I've just been checking out the latest news on the BBC News website and came across the "video premiere" for the Haiti earthquake charity single and to be honest, I found it quite good and have been suprised at how quick it's became available - considering the earthquake (measuring 7.0rs) happened only a few weeks ago (16th January 2010).

Yay Internet

Yay! I've finally got internet. Now considering Virgin Media said they were going to be around mine to install everything between 1pm and 6pm ... they decided to ring me at 8.45am (which I missed) then 8.50am (which I also missed) then 8.55am (which I missed again - come'on I was sleeping) then at 9.05am (which I answered) ... they said they'll be about an hour if that's OK with me, so of course I said "Yes".

Now they're currently here drilling away - which I'm not sure what my neighbours will think of it - oh well stuff them! I... [read more]
