If you follow me on Twitter, you would know that I am heavily into my weather stuff and that I have running every six hours a few scripts that I have mashed together to generate visible weather maps for the temperature, wind speed, rain and pressure for the British Isles. Now when these maps have generated, they can be quite hefty. The last weigh-in I did for the maps was 73.2MB, which if you're wanting to quickly browse them and you're not on a 4G or decent WiFi connection end up loading quite slowly.
I did however... [read more]

Each year the major supermarkets try to out do each other when it comes to their Christmas commercials. There's that slight American Superbowl-style commercial feel to it, with who's going to have the bigger and best one.
Whilst having a little jolly online, I did come across a few keys as to what'll be included in a Christmas commercial for, as they put it, a "well known supermarket". Now myself and The Mother have both been trying to guess which company this one could be for. At first I thought maybe it could be ASDA or... [read more]

The world is littered with morons - and sadly some of them morons are here in the UK. I'm actually surprised these morons know how to file a complaint, which is the reason for posting this. Below are complaints that have been received by Thomas Cook from various disgruntled customers.

Wow.
Well, for the past couple of years I've been wanting to hit this mark at the end of the year (like as a New Years Eve post), but in 2011, 2012, 2013 and 2014, I had failed. Now it's the 1st of May, I can't exactly keep the site quiet for another 7 months, so today will have to do.
As it's my 1,000th post, I suppose I should do that whole "let's take a trip down memory lane" thing... so, here we go...
Way back in September 2005 - on the... [read more]
The past couple of weeks when watching the odd few things on TV, I've noticed another advert from BT - you know the ones, the storyline type ones with those two lads and a woman. Well, in this advert the lads had a mate around watching Breaking Bad on Netflix, and says:
Lad 1: "Well we did it"
Lad 2: "Two days solid"
Mate: "Yep"
Lad 1: "Breaking Bad, done!"
That immediately got me gobbing off to myself (as I wasn't around other people when I first watched the advert *starts playing All By Myself*), the reason for me gobbing off... [read more]
