Graphic problems with Locomotion

If you're playing Chris Sawyer's excellent game, Locomotion on Windows Vista or Windows 7, then you may experience after a minute or so ingame, that all the colours go all purple and green. Don't worry though, don't uninstall the game or chuck it away - you can still play it!

The problem is caused by the way Windows Vista and Windows 7 deliver the colour palette and if (like many) you have an image or a slideshow desktop background, then this is what's causing your problem. All you need to do is right-click on the desktop and select "Personalize", then just... [read more]

Live Chicken in KFC Nuneaton

Living out in the sticks, you don't really get much coverage in the national newspapers - other than sometimes when we have the Atherstone Ball Game, which still year falls on Tuesday 8th March 2011. However I did come across a story that has been featured on the BBC News website, Daily Mail's website and a few others. It's not of Atherstone, but the town next door to us, Nuneaton. It features a lad going to the local KFC drive-thru window and when it opens he chucks in a real chicken. Obviously the RSPCA are a bit pissed off about... [read more]

Pectus Excavatum - Catchup

It's now been a week and a half since I had my operation and I thought I might update you all on how I feel.

Well - as crude as it sounds - I was only able to start pooping Tuesday just gone (24th August 2010) and that hasn't returned to normal yet (if you get what I mean). Passing liquids is fine afer the cafater, though they've became irregular - like one moment I'd be fine, then would need to pee like Niagra Falls.

Pain-wise, that's not too bad. Actually, I think it didn't hurt as much as they first put... [read more]

Pectus Excavatum - The Final Chapter

The time had finally came last week. Tuesday approached and I was starting to get very nervous - so I said goodbye to my friends and family and they wished me the best of luck. However halfway through the day, what goes and happens? Yes, you guessed it... the hospital phoned up and said the operation is cancelled due to lack of bed space - now this is the day BEFORE the operation, you can imagine how pissed off I was, but just as I was about to crack open a beer and chill out they phoned straight back up... Pectus Excavatum Operation

Sorry, for the lack of updates on the site - I've only just got my internet back on.

Right, finally after loads of constant knock-backs my operation is finally going ahead. I had my Pre-Op assessment on Thursday - which included a few other tests including MRSA testing, ECG test (which they incorrectly put me down as Female), blood test and then an XRay. Friday was the day for my MRI Scan - which was a weird experience and now tomorrow is the main day. Talk about getting nervous ... ... ... I'm in at 8am and I think the operation... [read more]

One Dream That Won't Be Fulfilled...

Due to upcoming events in less than 2 weeks, sods law always states that dates always clash... and yes, they have. My operation is on the 21st April 2010 and this audition is for the following Saturday (24th April 2010) ... grrrr! Oh well, always got next year...

Hotpoint WIXXE127 on Twitter Trends

Well it still seems that Hotpoint WIXXE127 is the hottest trend on Twitter at the moment... and along with the thousands of other people and other blogs, I have no idea why either... until I've now came across that I think it's because of a ?70-off discount code that's for the Hotpoint WIXXE127 Washing Machine at Comet.

The code is valid until tomorrow (31st March 2010) and is: WIXXE250

So now the problem is solved... lets hope a better and more productive trend will top the chart tomorrow.

Google StreetView: Superheroes found in Blackpool

Well it's been about a week or so now since everywhere - except the top of the mountains - in Britain got fully released on Google StreetView ... about time too! I was only waiting because I wanted to find myself on there, well I did ... he he ... here's a picture of me.

Anyways... whilst looking through some random streets I used to walk down in Blackpool, I ended up stumbling across something quite funny ... a group of Superheroes ... there's Action Man, Dracula, Superman, Wolverine, Bananaman, Peter Pan, Batman and Robin ... then further down... [read more]
