Radio X

If you've been listening to The Chris Moyles Show on Radio X (formerly XFM) last week you would've heard that they had a competition on there where you could go and see Stereophonics play live. To win this competition all you had to do is be the lucky caller that they selected and also guess what Stereophonics song Welsh singer Aled Jones was covering of theirs - but in Welsh. They chose to use Aled Jones as the group themselves are Welsh... so it fits, obviously.

However the competition this week changes and I sent a tweet in to Radio X (@RadioX) to which it confused them all. Here's the Tweet I sent:

Tweet to Radio X

And here was their response:

Now, you'll have to bare with me here because I put a bit too much thought into it on Friday as I had been awake all of Thursday night and also Friday morning, so my brain was wide-awake and active. The group who the tickets are going for this week are called Bloc Party and the band members themselves have no connection with anything French, but the reason I suggested Celine Dion is because even though she is Canadian - but was brought up in the French speaking part - she is the only singer I know that's alive that can speak and sing in French. And the reason I mentioned the connection between French and Bloc Party is because the word 'Bloc' is of French origin for the word, yes you guessed it, 'Block'. And that's where the link is.

Told you my brain was working in overtime.

Well, that's four weeks into Chris Moyles' new radio show and I've already confused the team. *gains a gold star*
