28th June 2012 Storm Reports

What a mad day for the weather! London is basking in sunshine - many people on the social media sites are saying how much they're enjoying sunbatheing - however for the majority of the country "up north" from the Big Smoke have been having a mad day of heavy rain, flash flooding, hail, high winds and tornadoes... and to think it's only the afternoon.

So far there's been reports of a tornado in Newtown Linford and a lot of damage to homes and cars from huge hail across many Midland counties. The storm... [read more]

Collapsible Menu with jQuery

To begin with we need to make a menu, which I've just done a quick temporary 5 items in mine using the HTML lists tags.

<script type="text/javascript"> $(document).ready(function(){ }); </script>

Now the document is ready for your jQuery code, we need to... [read more]

An Update

I suppose it's time I did an update. Well where to start first... hmm... well I ended up getting a letter from the doctors the other day stating that the nurse practioner that had seen me before about my chest has been "trying to contact me" ... like bollocks has she. Anyways, she wants me to go for a "reversibility testing" thing... not sure what it is - though I have done a good old? Google search on it and I think it's something to do with breath tests or something like that to see if my lungs are fine,... [read more]

Tornado Footage

I have a huge fascination with the weather. Though what we get here in the United Kingdom is poo compared to the likes of the United States of America... with their 15+ inches of snow, deep freezes, massive heatwaves, hail stones the size of grapefruits, hurricanes, magnificent thunderstorms and lightning and of course tornadoes.

Not many people know though, the UK has more tornadoes than the USA - but that's only like that because that's measured by tornadoes by area. Though overall the USA have over 1,000 tornadoes a year! Ranging from just little funnels in the sky to full blown... [read more]
