It's only recently been reported by Sky, that a numerous amount of their Android apps have been hacked and replaced on the Google Play Store. As you can see from the screenshot to the side, it's a group calling themselves the Syrian Electronic Army. At the time of writing this up the affected apps are Sky Go, Sky+, Sky WiFi and the Sky News app.

Well my goodness, that didn't take long. I was thinking it'd be tomorrow that the next account would be compromised, however it's recently happened again... this time BET (Black Entertainment Television) has been compromised and had their profile picture changed to the MTV logo.
And also MTV's official Twitter account has also been compromised too, with their name being changed to "HACKED MTV!".
This is crazy... three blue badged accounts so far this evening... stay tuned for more.

From Burgers to Cars now... worldwide known company Jeep have has their official Twitter account compromised now in a similar fashion to yesterdays Burger King / McDonald's incident.
According to Jeep's profile, they have been sold to Cadillac, similar to how Burger King was sold to McDonalds yesterday. Jeep's profile bio comes with the two hashtags #OpMadCow (Operation Mad Cow) and #OpWhopper (Operation Whopper - which I'm gathering was the codename for yesterdays attack).
Not too sure if tomorrow will also bring yet another company's Twitter to the hands of hackers.
Stay safe. :)
A little under an hour ago, Burger King's official Twitter account, got compromised and turned into its rivals, McDonald's. The profile background and header image were changed to images of Chicken McNuggets and Fish McBites, whilst the profile picture was changed to the well-known Golden Arches.
The profile text was also changed to mention "Just got sold to McDonalds because the whopper flopped =[".
It is unsure at the moment who compromised the account, but this incident isn't going to go down well with Burger King's social media team.
**UPDATE** As of 6.15pm~ish (GMT), the official Burger King... [read more]
