Well I finally got around to learning how to make applications for Android phones after downloading a million and one different programs and development kits from here, there and everywhere and spending countless hours reading tutorials and shouting at my screen when things weren't working correctly. Definitely not something I'd recommend to do if you suffer from high blood pressure.

Earlier on I noticed Google had a "Story fo Send" link underneath their search bar. I clicked it and watched the presentation all the way through about how your email is sent. It was quite entertaining - obviously I know how emails are sent and received, but how the presentation was set out was great. Well it's been about a week or so now since everywhere - except the top of the mountains - in Britain got fully released on Google StreetView ... about time too! I was only waiting because I wanted to find myself on there, well I did ... he he ... here's a picture of me.

Well after having a browse around I found these two plugins for Google Earth that seem to work really good and offer information from NWS (National Weather Service) and NOAA (National Oceanic and Atomospheric Administration).

This plugin gives you a (near) live picture of the whole of the United States' doppler readings, which update every 5 minutes (600 seconds). I myself have modified mine though as the original doppler picture has loads of white space, so to change it to a better image that doesn't have the white space, then do the following:
