Rehab Detox Day 4

Fourth day in and I am still feeling amazing that I am waking up sober and not having any shaking to contend to. The only issue I am currently having at the moment though is a slight pain in my right kidney and also my neck feels stiff, although I have been assured by the staff that this is normal coming off the alcohol.

After breakfast it was medication time and I am now on a lower dose (4L, 4V). Following breakfast we went to the centre to begin our sessions for the day. The... [read more]

Rehab Detox Day 3

Awake for 7am to begin our welcoming session for the morning. Breakfast followed, which I enjoyed my Marmite on toast (seriously, I absolutely LOVE the stuff!), then followed medication time (5L, 4V - I'm now on 5Ls now instead of six, it's the beginning of the weaning off period now).

After breakfast we headed to the Centre to begin our therapy session, and I found that session to be a good full opening for me... [read more]

Rehab Detox Day 1

Entered at 11:30am and began my admission form filling. Plenty of paperwork later, a dashing photo taken of me, being searched and having to handover my belongings (phone, card, passport, headphones, money, etc.), I was then left to mingle with the others within the Centre.

They all welcomed me amazingly - as if I was already known by them. The warm reception from them all was amazing, they were all polite, shook my hand and introduced themselves to me. After that initial few minutes I felt extremely relaxed, and we all proceeded to a room... [read more]

It Has Got To Stop

Alcohol: It Has Got To Stop

Those that know me, be it in real life or from the usual constant mentions of it on Twitter will know that I enjoy a drink, and I am the type that once I start I will not stop until I have ran out of funds or have fallen asleep - usually always the latter. Well, it has been 12 years since I started drinking and it was lovely. The feeling of it was great. I have never been an agressive drinker, I have always been a quiet drinker - when it... [read more]
