Rehab Detox Day 1

Entered at 11:30am and began my admission form filling. Plenty of paperwork later, a dashing photo taken of me, being searched and having to handover my belongings (phone, card, passport, headphones, money, etc.), I was then left to mingle with the others within the Centre.

They all welcomed me amazingly - as if I was already known by them. The warm reception from them all was amazing, they were all polite, shook my hand and introduced themselves to me. After that initial few minutes I felt extremely relaxed, and we all proceeded to a room... [read more]

It Has Got To Stop

Alcohol: It Has Got To Stop

Those that know me, be it in real life or from the usual constant mentions of it on Twitter will know that I enjoy a drink, and I am the type that once I start I will not stop until I have ran out of funds or have fallen asleep - usually always the latter. Well, it has been 12 years since I started drinking and it was lovely. The feeling of it was great. I have never been an agressive drinker, I have always been a quiet drinker - when it... dhIMG Instagram v1.2 Released

dhIMG Instagram

Instagram once again changed the way it operated and pretty much left v1.1 unusable, so I pretty much have rewritten the program and from the few accounts I've tried it on, it does seem to now be working - that's working with images AND videos. As with before, if any problems appear with the program, then please contact me via the contact form or via Twitter (@dalehay). Thank you for your patience and I hope you enjoy.

dhIMG Instagram v1.1 Released

VERSION 1.2 NOW RELEASED

dhIMG Instagram

Instagram changed the way it works quick a while back and thus rendered dhIMG Instagram broken. I have finally got around to fixing the program and it now seems to be working perfectly fine. If any problems do arise in future, may I ask - as I don't use the program myself -, can you notify me either via Twitter or the Contact form on here. Thank you, and enjoy. :)

Grimmie and The 49.

It has been very hard over the weekend to not notice the news from Florida, first the amazing Christina Grimmie then the Pulse nightclub.

Grimmie came to my attention many years back when she did a cover of David Guetta's hit 'Titanium' and since then I always used to check her out every few weeks to see what else she has sang. I would say she has a bright future for her, but she was recognised - and rightly so! She was (and I feel bad having to use the term 'was' instead of 'is') recognised, not only through... 8.4p per sh... debunked

Tesco 8.4p Fake

Noticed this image circulating a fair bit today and immediately questioned its authenticity as that's too good of a mistake to not get noticed. So, as ya do, I had a quick properly look and from what I can see so far, it's a fake.

My reasons?

1) The 'dot' on the I within Tesco's font (which is actually named 'Tesco') does not have a square 'dot' [Purple arrow]. Note the other two lines [blue arrows] (one I wrote and the original label one) are circular.

2) [Blue arrow] There's a very... [read more]

Increment Games

Increment Games

I don't really play many games these days, mainly because none of the equipment I own is powerful enough to play the games and they're not as fun these days either where more time and effort have been put into the graphics than the game play itself (give me [PSX era] Spyro The Dragon, Crash Bandicoot or Tombi anyday!)

These days when I do play a game, it's usually some sort of boring - yet addictive - increment game (like Cookie Clicker or AdCap!). Simple games that you can spend about 5 minutes a day catching... [read more]

Leaked My Arse

Leaked My Arse

Over the past couple of years I have been seeing the same term banded around prior to the official release date of an album, "leaked", and it bugs me because if you had an ounce of common sense, you would click that it's just a tired old marketing ploy.

How so? Well, most music fans get excited for when the release date of their favourite singer/bands album is published and then like to fire off a few hundred tweets and Facebook posts predicting how the next album will change their life forever, yadda yadda. What... [read more]

pngquant

If you follow me on Twitter, you would know that I am heavily into my weather stuff and that I have running every six hours a few scripts that I have mashed together to generate visible weather maps for the temperature, wind speed, rain and pressure for the British Isles. Now when these maps have generated, they can be quite hefty. The last weigh-in I did for the maps was 73.2MB, which if you're wanting to quickly browse them and you're not on a 4G or decent WiFi connection end up loading quite slowly.

I did however... [read more]
