Living out in the sticks, you don't really get much coverage in the national newspapers - other than sometimes when we have the Atherstone Ball Game, which still year falls on Tuesday 8th March 2011. However I did come across a story that has been featured on the BBC News website, Daily Mail's website and a few others. It's not of Atherstone, but the town next door to us, Nuneaton. It features a lad going to the local KFC drive-thru window and when it opens he chucks in a real chicken. Obviously the RSPCA are a bit pissed off about it, but the chicken wasn't hurt... though it does spark some irony. I've had a personal giggle at it and found it quite amusing - but I suppose that's my type of humour.
